Darlene Oliver

Board Member

Darlene Oliver is a dedicated civic leader and community advocate with a strong commitment to public service, historic preservation, and global engagement. She places a high value on community involvement and has worked to strengthen neighborhood relationships and civic participation within the Washington, DC area.


Ms. Oliver has developed a broad international perspective through travel and cultural exploration in China, including Beijing and Hong Kong, as well as London, experiences that have informed her appreciation for diverse communities and governance systems. She also contributed to an archaeological and historic preservation project focused on a significant historical legacy.


Professionally, Ms. Oliver served for four years as an elected Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) Commissioner for Single Member District 5C05, standing for residents and advocating for community priorities. In this role, she worked collaboratively with local agencies, neighborhood organizations, and constituents to promote equitable development, responsive government, and community well-being.
